Our History

Clancy’s Irish Pub is Colorado’s oldest and longest-running Irish Pub, serving the greater Wheat Ridge and Denver communities with exceptional food and drinks. Clancy’s Irish Pub is open seven days a week. Hours of operation: 11 am-10 pm Daily.

Established in 1973, Clancy’s Irish Pub is Colorado’s oldest and longest running Irish Pub, serving the greater Wheat Ridge and Denver communities with exceptional food and drinks.

Clancy’s has recently relocated to 7000 West 38th Avenue, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and now offers a spacious 6,000 square foot venue with live music, two patios, four bars, and amazing food from executive chefs Jeremy Ramos and Shon “Taz” Guy. Shon and Jeremy have created a from-scratch restaurant menu, serving traditional Irish fare such as shepherd’s pie, fish and chips, and bangers and mash.

Clancy’s Irish Pub was founded in 1973 by Bob Murray in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Clancy’s remained at 38th and Kipling for nearly 41 years.

Clancy’s quickly became know for a warm and friendly environment and delicious food. Traditional Irish fare such as shepherd’s pie, fish and chips, and bangers and mash were favorites amongst the community. The Murray family ran the establishment until the late nineties, when Dr. Robert Wood purchased the business.

The Woods family continued the longstanding tradition of great food and service at Clancy’s Irish Pub until 2009 when the business was heavily damaged by a fire.

Music at Clancy's Irish PubIn the summer of 2010, Jeff Hurlburt acquired the local iconic business and ran it with much success until the building was sold and destroyed as part of a redevelopment project.

After a year of being closed, Jeff Hurlburt teamed with four new business partners to create the new Clancy’s Irish Pub on 7000 West 38th Avenue in Wheat Ridge. Jeff Hurlburt joined a partnership with Joe DeMott, Tony Facinelli, Aron Martinez, and Steve Zielinski. Clancy’s Irish Pub continues to offer a warm and friendly environment with amazing food and beverage.
